Janie Williams
Janie Williams is a dynamic entrepreneur, floral industry expert, and financial advisor with a deep-rooted passion for empowering others. With nearly twenty years of experience in the floral industry, Janie has established herself as a visionary leader in both the floral and financial sectors.
From an early age, Janie exhibited a natural talent and love for floral design. However, her passion for finances was equally strong. Initially, she assisted family and friends with financial management, recognizing the importance of sound financial advice in achieving long-term success.
Driven by her desire to provide objective financial counseling to professional athletes outside of the traditional sports network, Janie founded Williams Financial Service Group (WFSG). She also recognized the need for high school and college athletes to have solid financial guidance and education to navigate their newfound opportunities under the changing Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rules. Through WFSG, Janie offers personalized financial counseling, investment strategies, and educational programs tailored to the unique needs of high school, college, and professional athletes.
In addition to her role at WFSG, Janie oversees the Patrick Williams Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to supporting various causes and initiatives that create positive change in communities. Her commitment to giving back and uplifting others extends beyond the floral and financial realms, reflecting her well-rounded approach to making a meaningful impact.
Janie's entrepreneurial spirit and passion for floral design led her to establish three thriving flower shops. She opened her first shop in Charlotte, NC nearly two decades ago, and earlier this year, she successfully launched a location in her hometown of Shelby, NC. A new location in Concord, NC will be opening later this month. These flower shops are a testament to Janie's creativity, attention to detail, and dedication to providing exceptional customer experiences.
Janie graduated from Crest High School in Shelby, and attended Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte on a basketball scholarship after high school. Her journey as a student-athlete instilled in her the values of discipline, teamwork, and resilience that continue to shape her professional and personal endeavors today.
